I know that this is two months later than usual, but better late than never : )
On October 27th, 2012 I married my beautiful wife Tressa (nee Kirstein) in Saskatoon with friends and family on hand.
Well, it has been a long time since I wrote a blog entry, because of two very big events that have taken place. Full details on these to follow.
I was married to Tressa Danchilla (nee Kirstein) on October 27th, 2012. And we bought a house, moved in mid-December, and have done a few renovations
With Tressa and I's wedding only a few days away, there is a lot of last minute stuff that needs to be done and a lot of attached stressers. One of the nice tension reliefs I've recently found is jogging.
A few months ago we started a "couch to 5k" program with our friends Nick and Kendra. Each successive run builds upon the previous and becomes a little tougher. I am happy to report that I am on the last week of the program and am up to being able to run 30 minutes and around 4.5 km at once. My short term goal is to improve my pace to 5k within the 30 minutes. My long term goal is to run a 10k event in May.
I didn't realize how much of a total body workout running is. I feel much better from it. The only downside is how tough it can be on my joints especially my ankle which has been badly swollen/sprained since our summer trip to Cuba. After the wedding I figure I'll let it recouperate a little.
Really good song off of TV on the Radio's new album Nine Types of Light. I love the lyrics
...Your love makes a fool of you
But I'll be there to take care of you
If ever you should decide
But you don't want to waste your life
In the middle of a lovesick lullaby
Anytime will do
My love
Anytime will do...
